EMPHA is strengthening its leadership and invites members to put forward candidates for the Board, the Marketing Group, and the Innovation & Sustainability Group.

EMPHA is strengthening its leadership and invites members to put forward candidates for:

  • The EMPHA Board
  • The Marketing Group
  • The Innovation & Sustainability Group

This is an important opportunity to actively shape the future of the European paper honeycomb industry.

Board Nominations now open

EMPHA is formally inviting nominations for Board members. Formal elections of four Board members, including the President, will take place at the 2026 General Assembly.

Term: 3 years
Deadline for nominations: 31 March 2026

Role of the Board

The Board defines EMPHA’s strategic direction, represents the industry, and oversees association priorities and activities.

Candidate Profile

  • C-level representative
  • Active EMPHA Member Company
  • Established experience in the paper honeycomb industry
  • One representative per country
  • One representative per Group of Companies (in case of multi-cy/ locations)
  • Maximum 5 Board members, including President
  • English speaking mandatory

Time Commitment

  • Approx. 6 online Board meetings per year (1 hour each)
  • Attendance at the General Assembly (in person)
  • Active strategic contribution

Each nominee will be invited to give a short presentation at the General Assembly.

Current Board Members:

  • Tony Moscrop – Dufaylite Developments Ltd., UK (Term ends June 2026) – President
  • Gilles Latil – L’Hexagone, France (Term ends June 2026)
  • Patrick Dejager – Europal, Belgium (Term ends 2028)

Join the Marketing Group

The Marketing Group supports the promotion and visibility of the European paper honeycomb industry.

Focus Areas

  • Industry messaging and positioning
  • Website and promotional content
  • Support for events and outreach
  • Development of marketing materials

Expectations

  • Approx. 6 online meetings per year
  • Contribution to agreed projects and content
  • Input into an annual marketing plan

Candidate profile

  • Management -level
  • Active EMPHA Member Company
  • Established experience in the paper honeycomb industry
  • One representative per country
  • One representative per Group of Companies  (in case of multi-cy/ locations )
  • This membership can not be combined with Innovation & Sustainability  Group
  • Maximum 5 members including President
  • English speaking mandatory

Join the Innovation & Sustainability Group

The Innovation & Sustainability Group supports industry competitiveness and future readiness.

Focus Areas

  • Sustainability positioning (e.g. comparisons, replacing EPS)
  • Increase insight in environmental impact and cost of using HC packaging, including standards and information regarding environmental evaluation
  • Further develop technical standards towards EU- and UK-wide availability of materials with similar technical characteristics.

Expectations

  • Approx. 6 online meetings per year
  • Active contribution to technical and sustainability discussions
  • Input into shared documents and industry updates

Candidate profile

  • Management -level
  • Active EMPHA Member Company
  • Established experience in the paper honeycomb industry
  • One representative per country
  • One representative per Group of Companies  (in case of multi-cy/ locations )
  • Maximum 5 members, including President
  • This membership can not be combined with Marketing Group
  • English speaking mandatory
